Dolores splashes out on Merc for daughter

EUROMILLIONS winner Dolores McNamara has dipped into her winnings again to buy a sporty Mercedes for her daughter.

As she prepares to move into her new luxury home, Dolores bought a €55,000 Mercedes SLK for 23-year-old daughter, Kim, after accessing her €115 million jackpot which was released by a bank last week.

Her team of financial advisers had told her to "park" the money on deposit for six months while she was considering her options.

Since the money was released, Dolores has met with her solicitors and financial advisers to discuss her investment options.

Kim McNamara was spotted cruising around Limerick city this week in the sleek black Merc - the third top-of-the-range car purchased by Dolores since her jackpot win.

The 47-year-old mother of six had already splashed out more than €100,000 for a seven series BMW and €45,000 for a three series BMW in recent months.

All three cars will sit neatly outside Lough Derg Hall, Dolores' new 10,000 square foot home in Co Clare as she makes final plans to move into the luxury mansion.

A furniture removal company was recently spotted moving her belongings into the €1.7m residence, which nestles in the Clare hills overlooking Lough Derg.

The house is situated at the end of a half-mile-long private driveway, protected by electronic gates and surrounded by an eight-foot high wall.

It boasts six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a marble-clad entrance hall and arched gothic-style windows with panoramic views.

It also has a hot tub from where the family can enjoy stunning views of the lake and look out on the sprawling fields and woodland below the hilltop estate.

In addition to the main house, the estate also has a 2,500 sq ft coach house dwelling, which comprises two bedrooms and one separate guest apartment with a large, twin garage.

Local property experts said that the mansion and a 40-acre estate overlooking Lough Derg represented great value at €1.7m.

Dolores is expected to complete the move within two weeks.
