New Peugeot 508 RXH gets automatic gearbox

The new Peugeot 508 RXH, traditionally equipped with a diesel electric hybrid power train and associated 4WD system only, is now available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, to satisfy a wider customer demand, they say, in both Europe and also in this country.

The stunning new 508 RXH 2.0 BlueHDi diesel 180bhp is derived from the new 508 SW 5-door estate model, but benefits from extra standard and optional equipment.

An RXH exterior styling pack maintains the all-terrain look, without the high cost of a 4WD system: raised ride height (5cm), aluminium front and rear bumper scuff plates, RXH wheel arch and sill extension.

It retails in Ireland from €41,595 plus delivery, with emission from 119g CO2 to qualify for €200 annual road tax.

The highly efficient new Euro 6 2.0 BlueHDi diesel 180bhp Stop Start power unit matched to a 6-speed automatic gearbox emits just 119g CO2 and combined consumption is recorded at 4.6 litres / 100km or 61.4MPG.
