BMW hommage

Some of you will remember with great fondness one of the most astonishing touring car racers of all time — the BMW 3.0 CSL "Batmobile" from the 1970s which was pedalled to great successes worldwide by legends such as Chris Amon, Ronnie Peterson, Hans Stuck, and Brian Redman.

Well, to commemorate that remarkable beast, BMW has just unveiled what it calls the 3.0 CSL Hommage R, a car that celebrates both the 40th anniversary of BMW in North America and the heady racing success of the BMW 3.0 CSL in 1975.
