3D Blade at the cutting edge of motoring

Welcome to the future of motoring - a 3D supercar that could revolutionise how vehicles are made.

3D Blade at the cutting edge of motoring

The stats for the prototype, called the Blade, are staggering: 0-60mph in just over two seconds (faster than a McLaren P1), twice the power-to-weight ratio of a Bugatti Veyron, a 700hp engine that can use either compressed natural gas or petrol, weight of just 1,400lbs (90% less than most cars) 30% of the emissions of an electric car, 1/50th the factory capital costs of other manufactured cars.

The project is part of a plan to tear up the script of how cars are manufactured, for the first time incorporating 3D printing to dramatically reduce the pollution, materials and capital costs.
