I’m driving a beautiful two-tone, 1961 Ford Zephyr Mark2.
Love at first sight. I always had a passion for those big cars. As a child growing up in the ’60s, I remember them so well, they were class cars used as Hackney’s and wedding cars. I always wanted one but they are very very rare so I was delighted to be able to locate one. I’m lucky to have one in such good condition — it’s mechanically perfect.

A 2.5 litre straight six engine, with loads of power, withthree forward gears, lovely quiet engine. Always starts first time.

I use it for pleasure/ vintage runs, and going on trips. Mainly on Sundays, but some other evenings as well.
A green Mini — my pride and joy at the time.

Over the years, I have had loads of cars as I own a funeral business and taxi business. I have driven mainly Fords, I have vehicles for the business, but my present car is a Ford Kuga. The only other vintage that I own is a very old horse-drawn hearse.
I would love to drive my Zephyr around the South of France, with the windows rolled down and the sun beaming in.

My wife, as she loves my Zephyr as much as I do, and she really loves going off spinning with me.
After 38 years doing taxi work, chauffeur work and funeral work, I could put up with anybody and listen to anything.
