Audi finally delivers on its TT promise

For many people it has been the epitome of leading edge design, but for many others it has been nothing less than a folly designed to appeal to people who own businesses that might be called ‘Lavish Locks’ or ‘Fringe Benefits.’

The dreaded ‘hairdressers’ Porsche’ handle has impugned many a decent car down the years but as a TT fan for much of its’ life, I’ve always been defensive of this Audi on the basis that it has, during the three incarnations we’ve seen since it was first launched in 1998, been a lot more daring than pretty much anything any other manufacturer has tried to foist on the innocent public.
