Michelin ‘Evergrip’

French tyre giant, Michelin, say their ‘Evergrip’ tread-regenerating technology, which was unveiled in the US last January, is to be adapted for European conditions.

Designed to deliver consistent wet traction as it becomes worn, its secret lies in a rubber compound that enhances wet grip, concealed grooves that emerge as the tyre wears down and expanding rain grooves that widen over time.

However, no date has been announced for its introduction here, nor in what form the technology would be adapted.
