The brand new Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the fifth generation of a car first seen in 1992 replacing the legendary 190, is a model range that accounts for one in every five Mercedes cars sold.

Competing in the viciously competitive compact executive segment against such cars as the Audi A4 and the BMW 3 Series, the new C-Class needs to be a pretty sharp machine and from what we saw at this week’s launch, there are no indications it will be anything less.
