IT is fair to say things have not exactly been silky smooth chez Peugeot in recent times what with ownership battles, labour strife, financial woes, and plummeting

The new 208 has emerged as a strong contender in the viciously competitive supermini segment,

although it has to be said that the model mix introduced here in Ireland has meant it has struggled slightly against established opponents such as Polo, Fiesta, Yaris, Micra, Clio, and all the other suspects.
