BMW M5 review (27/06/2012)

THE BMW M5 is one of the most stunning cars I have ever driven and one which is capable of truly shattering performance while also offering standard saloon car levels of comfort and practicality.

There is little more to be said of a machine which truly is a tour de force of design and engineering.

And yet there are those who rail heavily against BMW for producing this car on the basis that it is ‘inelegant and inappropriate’ for an M car, that it is ‘a less engaging driving machine’ than previous M5s, that it does not ‘stir the soul’ in the same way as its immediate predecessor and that ‘much of the drama and occasion has been lost.’
