Plenty of Irish people may be unhappy with their financial situation, but we are among the most educated; we consider ourselves very healthy; and our satisfaction with our lot seems to improve as we get older.

Maybe it’s the favourable weather, but a new Eurobarometer survey indicates 94% of Irish people are satisfied with the quality of life where they live — well above the EU average of 85%.
