AIDAN O’BRIEN’S horses are coming to the boil just in time for a tilt at the late-season’s biggest prizes and the Ballydoyle squad struck on the opening day of York’s prestigious Ebor meeting with a one-two in the Daily Telegraph Great Voltigeur Stakes.

Royal Ascot winner High Accolade is set to take on older horses for the first time in the £100,000 (€145,000) Princess of Wales’s UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation Stakes at Newmarket on Tuesday.

Mamool was installed as favourite for the Ascot Gold Cup after Godolphin finally shrugged off the blues on the final day of York’s Dante meeting.

Hopes remain high in the Godolphin camp that a fourth ‘home win’ could be on the cards in Saturday’s running of the richest race in the world, the Dubai World Cup.

A total of 17 horses have been entered in the Group One Vodafone Coronation Cup at Epsom.
