Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams held his first public meeting and handshake with PSNI chief constable Hugh Orde during a community gathering in his west Belfast constituency last night.

Sinn Féin was today urged to play its full part in policing in the wake of the British government’s demilitarisation plans for Northern Ireland.
