I WOULD like to congratulate Catherine Shanahan on her investigation into the appalling treatment of separated children at the hands of the HSE (March 14).

WHILE the Children’s Rights Alliance has previously voiced its disappointment that a referendum on children’s rights has been repeatedly put on the long finger, we believe the Government’s reported decision now to delay the referendum until next year is the right one at this point of the process.
