Workers from the troubled UNIFI factory in Donegal are to stage a rally in Letterkenny today to highlight the county's unemployment crisis.

The Government today claimed it would fully support almost 300 people who are to lose their jobs with the closure of a textile factory in Donegal.

Management at the Unifi textiles plant in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, is expected to announce plans to lay off 200 workers at the factory this afternoon.
