I agree with Jim Mack’s sentiment (Jul 9) that there should be fewer TDs, but I believe his proposed 80-100 is too low.

INDEED, it would be wonderful if renewable sources, especially wind, could replace some imported energy (Feb 4). However, the contribution obtainable from renewables is strictly limited, due to their intermittent nature.

DOES the energy regulator seriously believe renewables will give us security of energy supply? If so, he’s literally whistling in the wind.
