Rescuers have recovered a dozen more bodies after a ferry reportedly carrying up to 100 passengers capsized on a river in central Bangladesh, raising the death toll to 14.

A ferry carrying about 100 passengers has capsized in a river in eastern Bangladesh, leaving at least 24 people dead and scores feared missing, police said.

Rescuers resumed their search today for about 150 passengers still missing after a river ferry capsized in a tropical storm in south-eastern Bangladesh, as the confirmed death toll rose to 20.
