There has been a foot-and-mouth scare in north Cork.

Tests for foot-and-mouth disease taken from an animal in Dunleer, Co Louth, have proven negative.

Samples from four calves from a farm near Dunleer, Co Louth have been sent to Purbright in Britain for foot-and-mouth testing.
