Spain’s National Court has convicted two members of Basque separatist group Eta of attempted murder and sentenced them to 377 years in prison.

A bomb attack blamed on Eta terrorists injured five people, including a pregnant woman, in Spain’s Basque country today.

At least two people have been injured after a car bomb exploded in the northern Spanish town of Portugalete this morning.

Two Spanish policemen have been injured, one of them critically, after being ambushed by youths demonstrating in Bilbao in support of the Basque separatist group ETA.
