Two injured in Spanish car bomb explosion
At least two people have been injured after a car bomb exploded in the northern Spanish town of Portugalete this morning.
The explosion happened shortly after 9.10am local time in the centre of the town, which is in the north of the Basque region.
Radio reports said a socialist town councillor and her bodyguard were injured in the blast.
Nobody has claimed responsibility, but the finger of blame immediately pointed towards ETA, which has been fighting for independence in the Basque country for 33 years.
