An Irish doctor and explorer who became the first woman from this country to reach the South Pole is attempting to make history for the second time as she bids to cross the treacherous North Patagonian Ice Cap in Chile.

A DAREDEVIL mountain-biker who risked his life by cycling along a one-metre wide ledge at the Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare has said his actions have been blown out of all proportion by the authorities.
