Two neighbours of a man who was beaten to death in an apartment last year told gardaí they heard a woman scream or shout on the night of the killing, a court has heard.

A 60-year-old man made “a flippant comment about oral sex” while drinking with a group in an apartment in Waterford on the night he was beaten to death, said a witness in a murder trial.

A woman is due to appear in court this morning in connection with the death of Joe O'Brien in Waterford City on Monday.
