Pascal Barry has warned that Zambezi Sun is expected to need the run when he goes on trial for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe this weekend in the Prix Niel.

Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe favourite Dalakhani was the star turn on the Chantilly gallops on Tuesday morning as the Aga Khan’s colt had his final serious piece of work ahead of Sunday’s Longchamp showpiece.

AIDAN O’BRIEN accounted for six of the 22 standing their ground at yesterday’s first forfeit stage for Sunday’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp. They are High Chaparral, Black Sam Bellamy, Yesterday, Brian Boru, Dalcassian and Fontanesi.

Monday saw one of the two French raiders for Saturday’s Sagitta 2000 Guineas nibbled at in the ante-post market on the Newmarket showpiece.
