Monday saw one of the two French raiders for Saturday’s Sagitta 2000 Guineas nibbled at in the ante-post market on the Newmarket showpiece.

Andre Fabre, who sent out the mighty Zafonic (1993) and Pennekamp (1995) to land the colts’ Classic, confirmed the unbeaten Massalani as an intended runner in this year’s renewal.
