ONE of the beneficial owners of lands at the centre of planning corruption allegations yesterday insisted he never played any role in attempts to bribe councillors.

FORMER Fianna Fáil TD Liam Lawlor is alleged to have used offices in Leinster House to discuss plans for lands at the centre of the Flood Tribunal’s planning bribes investigation.

AN architect for Jackson Way Properties has told a hearing into the company’s €47 million compensation claim that it could have built 1,600 houses and apartments if the last section of the M50 motorway had not been routed through its lands.

JACKSON WAY PROPERTIES have knocked off more than half the multi-million euro pay-out they were demanding in compensation for losing lands at Carrickmines to the last leg of the M50 motorway.
