ONLY the foot and mouth outbreak in 2001 has blemished the National Dairy Show’s 30-year record. No show was held that year.

“Organised by farmers for farmers” could be one of the mottos of the National Dairy Show, which will be held for the 30th time on October 20 at its usual indoor venue in the Green Glens Arena, Millstreet, Co Cork.

TEN thousand people flocked to Millstreet during a dismal November weekend last year and this year, the Self-Build, Extend and Renovate Show expects that number to increases.
