A 25-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have been charged with possession of drugs at a special sitting of Carrick-on-Shannon District Court this evening.

A man and a woman are being questioned by gardaí in relation to a drugs seizure in Co Leitrim.

Gardaí in Leitrim have recovered 400 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €160,000 euro.
