Re the Derek Brockwell escape from Tallaght Hospital and the injury of prison officers: why are prisoners being treated as ordinary public outpatients and inpatients when they are not ‘ordinary’?

It would appear that Irish Rail still believes that the people of Cobh and Midleton or at least those who wish to travel by train, should be in their beds at a respectable hour. 

I don’t know of a more condemnatory term in the lexicon of Irish history than landlord. Yet the reality is that many farmers today are in effect landlords, renting or leasing land to others.

Lack of access is Spike Island’s greatest impediment to becoming a major visitor attraction.
