GARDAÍ in Tipperary have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the violent death of a man at a Christmas party in Nenagh early yesterday.

A 50-YEAR-OLD Latvian man appeared at Portumna District Court yesterday in connection with the death of a man in Nenagh, Co Tipperary last Sunday morning.

GARDAÍ investigating the gun murder of a north Dublin man yesterday recovered a submachine gun, ammunition and drugs after a series of local raids.

THE deaths of two eastern European men were being investigated by gardaí in Tipperary and Louth last night.
