A Latvian woman and her Pakistani fiancee have secured leave to bring a High Court challenge against the Limerick County Registrar's refusal to allow their marriage, following a Garda objection.

An elderly man found dead in his sheltered accommodation home died from massive internal bleeding after being kicked and stamped in the stomach, a murder trial jury heard at the Central Criminal court today.
