IN the course of a letter concerning cancer in the Cappagh/Croagh area of Co Limerick (Irish Examiner, August 12), Pat Geoghegan refers to data from the National Cancer Registry which was supplied to the Mid Western Health Board (MWHB).

I READ with interest the article published last week on the WHO report on cancer rates. There are a number of inaccuracies in the report in relation to the statistics on cancer in this country, which were attributed to the Irish Cancer Society.
