A father and his teenage daughter were shot in an ambush in the North today.

A man is today in a stable condition in hospital after he was shot in north Belfast, police said.

Twelve officers have been injured, two seriously, when they were attacked by a crowd of Celtic supporters outside a pub in Northern Ireland, the Royal Ulster Constabulary said.
