A 56-year-old County Monaghan man was been awarded €273,000 in damages this afternoon in a High Court action against his former school teacher, who is also a former GAA Ulster Council secretary.

The body of a woman in her sixties has been found on a laneway near a convent in Ballybay, Co. Monaghan.
