A High Court jury is to assess damages after RTÉ admitted defaming an 84-year-old guesthouse owner in Waterford during a 'Nob Nation' sketch.

'Nob Nation' comedian Oliver Callan today apologised in the High Court for referring to a guesthouse in Waterford as a brothel.

An 84-year-old hotelier from Waterford is suing RTÉ, claiming that a Nob Nation skit defames him by implying his guesthouse is a brothel.
