THOSE of us who were never clear as to the difference between the political parties arising from the inherited civil war structure have had the matter clarified most succinctly courtesy of the stag hunting vote.

IT seems to be increasingly the norm for RTÉ to allow its staff to reduce the pronounced English alphabet to just 24 letters. Hence, on Sunday afternoons, I am typically informed that golfer X has shot “a sevinny-two this aftinoon”.

I WONDER if RTÉ will settle for just half my TV licence fee at next renewal?
