NEWLY discovered 2,000-year-old ruins at the ancient Hill of Tara site must be fully preserved because of their unique size and character, according to a US academic.

A LEADING expert on Tara Valley archaeology has suggested it may still be possible to avoid the demolition of part of the historical Lismullen site being excavated to make way for the M3 motorway.

Tara Watch is presenting a petition of 50,000 signatures to the Department of the Environment as part of their dispute over the M3 motorway.
