SEAN KIELY and James Fitzpatrick are set to make their first competitive starts for the Cork senior footballers in Sunday’s Allianz Football League Division 1 trip to Castlebar to face Mayo.

BARRY OWENS’ Fermanagh side made a winning start to their campaign at Dr Cullen Park in comfortable fashion. The two-time All Star was immense in shutting down Thomas Walsh and Brendan Murphy, who both had fruitless stints at full-forward.

CORK manager Denis Walsh has introduced defensive newcomers Stephen McDonnell and Mark Ellis to his team for their Allianz Division 1 Hurling League match with Offaly at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday. Glen Rovers player McDonnell gets the nod at right corner-back while Millstreet hurler Ellis will line out at centre-back.

PADDY McKEEVER will miss the Orchard County’s fourth-round qualifier game after the Games Administration Committee handed the Armagh half-forward a four-week suspension.
