THERE’S a charming quality to the opening scenes of Fantastic Four (12A), as child inventor Reed Richards (Miles Teller) bonds with bullied kid Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) as they attempt to build a machine capable of teleportation. 

It’s been so long since anyone has really mentioned it that we were almost beginning to forget that this year, the Fantastic Four franchise is being relaunched.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (Fox, €24.99) is a decent enough follow up to the 2005 outing.
