An extremely effective American screen version of the dark Swedish vampire book ‘Let the Right One In’ – which was originally made into a Swedish film – that succeeds because of the excellent playing of Smit-McPhee and Moretz and Reeves’ strict concentration on the original written material rather than making a mere re-make of the film.
