AIB Group has announced that Nick Treble, managing director, AIB Global Treasury, has been appointed AIB Group chief risk officer (CRO) and a member of the AIB group executive committee (GEC).

AIB has announced that Shom Bhattacharya, group chief risk officer, and member of the AIB Group Executive Committee, has decided to retire at the end of this year.

AIB Bank, rocked by a major fraud case this year, said yesterday it had appointed Shom Bhattacharya as chief risk officer in a move designed to prevent a repeat of the scandal.
