I REFER to William Ever’s letter (Irish Examiner, Sept 19), in which he says that Irish is a dead language.

I HEARD it said that after the Iraqi war was over, the United States and Britain would use money from Iraqi oil to finance the reconstruction of that country. What a brilliant idea — using the wealth of these poor people to repair the devastation caused
