A FORMER army lieutenant who has spent 41 years fighting to clear his name after being sacked from the defence forces without explanation will have a fresh review of his case.

THE High Court yesterday quashed a report of the Judge Advocate General (JAG) who concluded that a decision to forcibly retire a young Irish Army lieutenant in 1969 had been at that time “reasonable”.
