US technology giant Motorola is axing another 7,000 jobs as it confirmed it is headed for a fourth straight money-losing quarter.

A further 2,000 jobs are to be axed by electronics giant Motorola, the company confirmed today.

Five senior Motorola executives received bonuses worth over £2.5 million just weeks before the company shut its Scottish plant, it was disclosed today.

Motorola says it expects its loss per share in the second quarter of its financial year to be wider than the 9 cent first quarter loss it reported last night.
