James Bond no longer has diplomatic status – at least not in Panama.

CUBA has broken off diplomatic ties with Panama after the outgoing Panamanian president pardoned four Cuban exiles the communist government accuses of trying to kill President Fidel Castro.

Martin Torrijos, the son of a former dictator, won Panama’s first presidential elections since the handover of the Panama Canal and withdrawal of US troops in December 1999, electoral authorities said.
