Department does its bit for the homeless

In relation to the letter in the Irish Examiner (February 18), which stated that homeless people must produce receipts for two nights’ hostel accommodation in order to get welfare payments, this is not correct.

No further tax on pensions

Regarding the letter ā€˜Unfair pensions’ (Dec 13), the Minister for Social Protection has not announced and has no plans to announce ā€œa further tax from 10% to 20% on all private pensions above €12,000 per annumā€. This is absolutely incorrect.
