LAWYERS seeking removal of a Ten Commandments monument from a judicial building’s rotunda told a federal judge yesterday they would not press to have the state’s chief justice held in contempt for refusing to move it.

UNITED STATES Supreme Court justices overruled Chief Justice Roy Moore yesterday and directed his Ten Commandments monument be removed from its public site in the Alabama Judicial Building.

A US judge today vowed to fight an order to remove a 350 stone Ten Commandments monument from his courthouse.
