US murderer David Leon Woods was executed by lethal injection early today for killing a 77-year-old man during a 1984 burglary.

A self-confessed drug dealer was put to death early today for the 1981 killings of a man and his pregnant wife inside their home, about an hour after the US Supreme Court cleared the way for his execution.
