Ryanair is annoyed that the European Commission doesn’t use the airline to get its staff from A to B, but maybe Michael O’Leary’s caustic insults and failure to acknowledge his company’s flaws is not the best way to court its custom, writes Europe Correspondent Ann Cahill

The Government will have to match €100 million from the EU towards constructing high-tension electricity cables between Ireland and Britain and put the grant out to tender, according to the European Commission.

“IT CAN and will happen to you, to me, to anybody who takes chances with drugs,” said Eric Doyle yesterday. “Don’t do it.”
