A FEMALE security guard at Shannon Airport died from a brain haemorrhage just weeks after she was sent home from the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where she was wrongly diagnosed as suffering from migraine, an inquest in Limerick heard.

AFTER yesterday’s verdict, Roger Murray, solicitor for the Butler family, said they hoped lessons have been learned by the HSE so that Louise’s tragic death may not have been in vain.

The HSE has apologised to the family of a 21-year-old woman over the deficiencies and failures which lead to her death from a massive brain haemorrhage.
