Family members and friends of the seven injured Berkeley balcony collapse victims are taking part in a 72-hour cycle in a bid to raise funds for spiralling health costs.

It’s no surprise that Red Rock is returning for a second season, says Jonathan de Burca Butler – more a drama than a soap, there’s gritty reality, strong script-writing and fine acting talent from the likes of Jane McGrath.

Niall Murray and Jack Halpin, two of those injured in the Berkeley balcony collapse, are due to travel home to Ireland next week.

AMY FOSTER (Glenlola Collegiate School), silver medallist in the 100m at the European Youth Olympics last week, will be back in action at Tullamore on Saturday and hoping for a double in the Schools International between Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.
